From the beginning, the guides turned 7 strangers into \u201cLas Ranitas de Papi\u201d. The food and camps along the way were rustic but memorable. So many gorgeous rivers and waterfalls to swim in! Trekking through the jungle and learning about the indigenous people was so special. I enjoyed the journey as much as magical Lost City itself! Our translator Carlos was so full of information and willing to answer so many questions. When I got sick, our guide Jose patiently led me down by mule for hours to the sweet nurse. Everyone was kind and professional throughout. Most importantly, Jose and Carlos worked so well together so that everyone had an amazing experience! De hike naar de lost city is best pittig, je loopt in totaal zo\u2019n 80 kilometer en de wegen zijn soms stijl en onverhard dus zorg dat je een goede conditie hebt! We hebben enorm genoten, echt de highlight van onze vakantie. Alles was enorm goed geregeld door de organisatie, echt een aanrader! We liked our tours and our group. My only complaint is that about 5-6 people in our group got sick our last night with what I suspect was food poisoning. None of the campsites had hand soap for us as guests so I don't know if the same applied for the cooks or if they had better access to hand hygiene. I mentioned that we suspected we had food poisoning and the guides were very dismissive, saying maybe it was just that we were \"exhausted\". I do think the companies and facilities should improve hand hygiene procedures -- hand soap is not that expensive so it is not a difficult thing for them to incorporate. Quiero destacar especialmente al equipo de gu\u00edas: Adriana, Brayan y Ariel estuvieron pendientes en todo momento, atentos a cada detalle, siempre con una sonrisa y una actitud incre\u00edblemente amable. Su conocimiento de la ruta, la historia y la naturaleza de la Sierra Nevada enriqueci\u00f3 el recorrido de una forma que va mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo que cualquier gu\u00eda de viaje podr\u00eda ofrecer. Se nota que lo hacen con verdadera vocaci\u00f3n. Y no puedo dejar de mencionar al cocinero Ismael, cuya comida fue una grata sorpresa en cada parada. It was physically really challenging but it was possible to pay a little bit extra so my backpack would be carried or transfered by motor. It was really worth it and made my hike easier. We swam 2 times a day and the swimming was the highlight of the hike for me. Our guides were all from the towns nearby. They know all the history and explained a lot. Especially Sara knew everything about the environment, the history, the animals, everything. Also Sofia our translator was really nice. Her English was perfect. She was chill and made everybody felt comfortable. Our cook Emiro did a great job. There was plenty of food and a highlight was pasta bolognese after a really long day of hiking. I ate 3 plates. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The guides (Sara, Sophie and Brayan) were incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable\u2014they made the whole journey even more enjoyable and always made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. The food was surprisingly great for a multi-day hike\u2014fresh, tasty, and plentiful, giving us all the energy we needed each day. The camps were well-prepared, and the overall logistics ran smoothly. And of course, the nature was simply breathtaking. From lush jungle landscapes to river crossings and the incredible Lost City itself, every moment felt special. I truly couldn\u2019t have asked for a better experience.
